Kyiv, January 26. administration of the President of Ukraine said that the awarding of the order of Freedom of the poet Vasily Kwasnowski from the Ternopil region in Western Ukraine — the result of a clerical error.
Earlier in the media appeared information that Kwasnowski was awarded the order of Freedom. In response the chief Rabbi of Ukraine and Kiev Moshe-Reuven Azman asked President Petro Poroshenko to review a decree awarding, accusing the poet of anti-Semitism. According to the Rabbi, his books are "imbued with hatred for the Jews."
according to Thursday's Ukrainian edition "Лига.net" the presidential administration in response to the request, the media said that the awarding of the medal of Freedom Kwasnowski the result of a technical error.
Currently, the official website of the President information on the awarding of the poet is missing.
In response, the Ukrainian authorities reported that the result of "a technical error on the website of the head of state was posted on one of the draft versions of the document.".
