Washington, December 8. Acting assistant Secretary of state for Near Eastern Affairs David Satterfield said that the decision of the American President Donald Trump on the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is not concerned with questions of sovereignty and recognition of borders.
"Questions about boundaries and sovereignty is a subject of future negotiations between the parties concerned. We do not discuss these issues now," said Saterfield.
"We just recognize the reality of the situation that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, he added.
Earlier it was reported that on Wednesday the President of the United States Donald Trump announced the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the beginning of preparations for the transfer of the us Embassy there..
